if the piece is in stock then it will be dispatched the next working day. each ring is made individually.
I choose the stones very carefully, avoiding fractures, pits or, worst of all, drabness.
I hunt high and low for as many different minerals and stones as I can. sometimes I find an amazing pebble and the ring is a one off - another that looks like it is not possible.
usually I can replicate to order, if the ring is to be made from scratch then please give me a couple of weeks.
If it is urgent then get in touch and we'll see what we can do!
I have hundreds of minerals, rocks, shells, metals, gemstones and glass.
I make rings to fit the smallest and biggest hands.
for men it is often too difficult to find rings big enough for their hands.have a look at the Shapes page and then have a look at the colour page for some ideas and inspiring hues.
I cut my own cabochons so if there is a shape you don't see then just ask.
there some limitations with certain stones.
some are unsuitable for cabochons because of fractures and in those circumstances I have made fragment rings, necklaces, earrings and keyrings.
Pewter is an alloy of Tin, Copper and antimony.
I use English Pewter which is the highest quality and properly regulated.
it is non toxic. no lead whatsoever!in the olden days many metals went into alloys used, including Pewter.
There were no real standards and different pewtersmiths would make their own pewter without oversight or consequence.
nowadays, with governing bodies and regulations we have a wonderful alloy that has a real warmth and soft texture.
it sounds odd but it actually does feel different to silver.
Silver will tarnish quickly, whereas Pewter will keep
its shine for a long time if looked after properly.
all Jewellery should be treated with care
and love, reflecting the intent of the making.
before taking off your ring, wash your hands
and the ring with soap and water and use
the softest cloth you can find to gently dry.Over time, jewellery goes through a lot.
If you would like the ring to be re polished
or if it gets scuffed, please get in touch,
I am more than happy to do it free of charge.Pewter is an alloy, completely lead free
and non-toxic. I only use English Pewter.
